Ashley has been capturing audiences with her electrifying stage presence and star-like qualities since the tender age of 15 years old. Originally on the path to a career in opera, the 30-year-old artist has since lent her soulful, yet natural, vocal range to genres such as Pop, Rock and Dance, but never truly seemed to find a home within herself until she most recently tried her hand at the world of Country-Roots. She is no stranger to success, however, as her single, "Beautiful Feeling" from her solo EP released in 2005, sold over 50,000 copies in Walmarts across Canada!​

Alford muses, "it was such a surprise to have my song so well received that we as a team weren't at all prepared for how to properly handle it. So I think we lost a lot of golden opportunities as a result of that success. But I learned a great deal about myself as an artist and as a musician through that process, so I look forward to putting those lessons to good use this time around doing music I love even more than ever before!" Ashley knew even then that what was to come was what she was truly destined for. And when she found herself suddenly out of place on stage for the first time in many years, she turned inward to reflect and grow in order to finally discover that her true passion lay in finding like-minded vocalists/artists to share the stage and spotlight with. And so Vintage Railway was born.

Ashley is particularly proud, though, of her contribution to Vintage Railway's haunting yet melodic sound. Her strong yet soulful vocals help to create the cornerstone of what VR is all about! Joined by the incomparable Jessica French, along with some of Canada's best musicians, Ashley and the crew are working hard to establish themselves as the next musical super-force within the Country Music industry.
